About Keyword Finders

Last post I emphasized the importance of using the proper keywords within the website’s content in order to get a good page rank. Towards the end of the post I mentioned that there are online tools available to help you select the right keywords for your website. I will discuss today how these keyword finders can help you pick the right keyword.
When selecting keywords for your website I mentioned that you need to “Always think in terms of what people will likely choose as search string since it is them that would determine which keywords are actually relevant to them.” Keyword finders can help you save much time and effort by actually generating related keywords for your site AND telling you just how much people actually used those keywords as their search string. Of course the more people searching for that keyword the better that keyword is.
However, some keywords though much sought by users are also considered to be highly competitive terms since there are also a lot of websites that already offer information related to those keywords. For example if you search for the term TRAVEL BLOG Google will you give 211 million results! With such steep competition it is very hard indeed to get to the top of the list in SERPs. So what a website needs to do is actually find terms that many people search for but are used only by a relatively few websites as their own keyword.
This is the area where keyword finders are actually the most useful. They help find highly relevant and frequently searched for keywords for your website, which at the same time offer little or no competition at all. They help website owners find and target their niche market. In my next post I will give more concrete examples and links to a few good keyword finders.
