RSS Aggregators

Feeds Aggregator

To access your blog’s RSS feeds your visitors need some sort of tool to help them compile the RSS feeds from you AND the other blogs they read. After all it would be pretty useless if they had to check a different tool or site for each blog they read. The job of compiling RSS feeds from different websites and blogs is done by RSS Aggregators.

There are a lot of free RSS aggregators that blog readers can choose from in the internet. There’s Google Reader, Bloglines, Rojo, Netvibes, and myYahoo!.

It doesn’t really matter what your visitors use. The important thing is that as the blogger you make it easier for them to have access to aggregators. This is why it is a good idea for you to add a link where they can sign up to a good aggregator. Or better yet some blogs automatically suggest specific aggregators when the visitor clicks on the subscribe button. This way those who doesn’t use any aggregator yet will be introduced to it and will be one step closer to subscribing to your feeds. And as for those who already use one, if their aggregator is on your list then it’ll be easier for them to log on and continue with the subscription process.
