Quantity Versus Quality
When coming up with the content for your website most get caught in the dilemma of whether to focus on quantity or quality. Of course they are both important but if I had to choose I’d say go for quality.
While I always stress the importance of fresh content, which if you think about it says that quantity is important, I also believe that quality is even more important. Of course you don’t want a totally static page that doesn’t add new content over months or years but fresh content of poor quality is no good at all. Though you might have pages and pages of articles that has all the keywords conceivable it will help get you listed in search engines and will ensure that you come out in the SERPs for all keywords you need but it wont ensure that you get on the top of SERPs. Writing a few good articles or even a single really outstanding one will however get people’s attention (which is a sure way to get the search engines’ attention) so that links will come in naturally, which will help you rise in SERPs.
